I was reading something on line the other day about tuning broadheads and found something interesting.

This article heavily favored 4 to 5 inch vanes for stabilizing fixed blade broadheads compared to Blazer vanes. I've been shooting Blazers and G5 Montecs for tha last 3 years with pretty good results.
Does anyone have experience with this setup vs. the same broadhead and vanes?

Just curious.
Thanks

You're gonna get dozens of different opinions....if what you use works ok, why change?

Rowdy is absolutely right. You know what they say about opinions ;)

I've tested my arrows (Easton Axis) with broadheads using FlexFletch 360 vanes (3.6") and 2" Blazers.

The FF360s group better at longer yardages, like past 40yds. From 20-40yds there no noticeable difference for me.

I have the same arrows in 4 inch feathers and 2 inch Blazers and I get the same results pretty much as JayMc .. out to close to 40 yards .. on the range finder 38 to about 45 the feathers group better for me than the blazers but to the 38 yard mark I can stack them both right together.

Thanks guys, just curious. Things are working pretty well, it's more me than the bow,one day I can shoot groups at 40 yards that you can cover with a 2 inch circle, then other days it's embarrasing!
Will leave well enough alone.

Feathers probably would be better for longer distances, but I don't shoot long distances so it doesn't matter. I'm more of a 30 yards and in guy.
