Well just as I got my bow tuned up good and shooting fieldtips with my broadheads, my peep moved, down. So I moved it up and it twisted. So to TRY and train it I tied a piece of ribbon from it to the string...when I went to cut the ribbon, yep, I "nicked" the string with my Case, knife! Yea I know, bonehead move on my part.

Anyway, been reading some good things on Vaportrail strings. Anybody used these and have any firsthand knowledge? Good, bad or ugly. Im fairly new to this whole archery thing. Thanks in advance.

Vaportrail is all I use, as others have stated very fast turn around/shipping and great service. I use the VTX material and have never noticed any "creep" issues, nor any major peep rotation problems.

I just put a vaportrail on the compound this year. I don't have to worry about the stupid rubber peep hole aligner. Great string.

I'm on my 3rd bow in 2 years (long story) but I've never owned one long enough to need to change the string. So my question is... How long do you guys go before changing a string, and is there any reason to change one sooner than needed. I keep mine waxed, so I'm good for now, just curious.

I typically change mine every two years, or sometimes every yearI shoot ALOT! If your keeping it waxed then you will get more life out of it. Some of the most common things to look for are string wear around the cams, the fibers of the strands coming apart and string stretch/reduced poundage.

My bow is brand new this year and I shoot a couple of times a week. Already I have noticed the serving fraying. Especially around the cams and my string stop. Its a factory string on a diamond. Anyone else have this problem?
