I had a morning with Christina , aka huntinprettier , my soon to be bride , that that turned out to be one of best hunts ever...i slept late this morning and we didn't get to farm we hunt in Sumner co. until after daylight....but it was nonstop action from the time we walked through the gate at 615 until about 930!!! Lmbo, i yelped lightly when we hit the edge of the woods and immediately had a hen cut real loud about 75 yards in front of us and i honestly didn't know what to do for a second lol...we sat down on the edge of a four wheeler trail and listened and i yelped lightly again...the hen fired up again and that's when the boys decided they wanted to play...we had gobbles from three different directions!!! My heart was pounding and Christinas eyes looked like saucers lmbo.... she said. oooooo did you hear all them !!! And i got tickled and about choked on my mouth call from looking at how excited she was...anyway we moved to the edge of a little acre and a half field where we had heard a couple gobbles...i cut real hard and yelped kinda loud and the bottom part of that field exploded with gobbles...we hustled to a cedar tree in front of us with some tall grass around and got set up...i yelped ooagain and they had already cut the distance in half...I could hear Christina breathing really hard lol...i didn't say a word to her but i was wanting to help her get her gun ready and get in position so bad i couldn't stabd it...but somehow i didn't , i just rekaxed and watched her real close and showed where i thought the birds would come from...and sure enough they came from the totally opposite side of where i thought...but they came right up to 35 yards gobbling the whole way...we both realized they were jakes at the same time and both said it at the same time lol...i told her to shoot one if she wanted to and without missing a beat she whispered kinda loud , Noooo!!! I just wanna watch 'em , we don't need to shoot any jakes!!! To say i was proud would be an understatement!!!
They were heading towards a hen yelping up the hill on the neighbors place , when i cut real loud a few times and they all three gobbled , well two of them gobbled and the other let out some kind of sound that male turkeys just shouldn't make lol...that's when i guess she couldn't take it anymore and started giggling and that got me to snickering and trying real hard not to laugh...i yelped at em on my slate call that mountain man71 made me and they trotted from 35 -40 yards right to within about 10 ft us...gobbling they whole time...they walked around us for probably 5 minutes looking for a hen...it's always intense when any turkey comes in that close to me , but with Christina being there with me it was unbelievably exciting!!! She asked me if i could make them gobble again, so i yelped real soft and they gobbled at like 12 ft from us...i cut at em pretty loud and figured they spot us then being that close but they just kinda went into non stop gobble mode lol...they finally spotted us and started getting spooky so i just pulled my mask down a said BOOO!!!...probably shouldn't have done that , i know but it was funny...two of them flew off but one just flew straight up and right back down...when he hit the ground he actually gobbled a couple more times before he finally ran off lol...i put my arm around Christina and hugged her and told her how proud i was of her for not shooting one of the jakes...the look on her face was priceless when she smiled and said naaaa i want a longbeard lol...that was only half of the adventure we had this morning...ill tell the rest of the story later , right now I'm going to bed , I'm tired lol

That is as good as it gets. I had a similar experience one time with jakes but I was by myself and no one to share it with.
