Just curious as to whether you guys use a vest or not. If so, lets hear your vest of choice. If not, lets hear what you use.

Bough a cabelas tactical tat'r with kickstand last spring and love it. Don't have to have a tree to lean into.

Yup no doubt. I have that vest as well as the old little big hornworm the metal frame. The only way to go for me. I don't even carry much at all in mine I just like having a comfy seat in seconds

I've always thought turkey vests were too hot and for the last 5-6 years I've hunted with a turkey specific hip pack that attached to a belt. Last year, my wife bought me an Under Armour Turkey Trax vest. It's still too hot, but much better than ones I've had in the past. It is made from the Under Armour material, so it is fast drying and has a vented back to help with some air flow. I bow hunt turkeys as much as I gun hunt them. So the moveable pockets help with making sure I have plenty of string clearance. Here it is with the left side pockets removed.

The seat sucks. If having a soft seat is a necessity, you may want something else. I'm not a big guy and basically just want something to keep my arse dry. It does a fine job at that.

I use a RedHead Striker when I use one. I've come close to buying one of the Cabela's several times. As the season goes on and things start to warm up, I usually end up leaving it at home and just sticking and owl and crow call in my pants pocket and mouth call in my shirt pocket.

They are, for me.

I just use a game belt with four pouches, and one of the HS strut seats topped with a foam cushion. Comfort is crucial for those long sits.

I use both a vest and backpack. For longer hunts when Im not planning to come back to the truck I like to use a pack. I rarely use decoys and a couple mouth calls, crow call and slate are all I usually carry. The pack is great to shed clothing when the day warms, carries food and drink, camera and tripod fit nicely too. Packing a turkey out is a breeze with a pack and I feel a pack is more comfortable.

I use a vest I like the pockets to hold all my stuff and easy access to get a striker or mouth call in a hurry. Think mine is the 4max redhead vest

Me and a couple of buddies bought ol tom vest on sale after the season a couple of years ago. Everyone one of them broke where the strap attaches to hold the birds in the back pocket. Baling wire fixed that problem lol. Besides that they are great because the are small and light weight and have magnetic pockets. I'm looking to replace it this year with the Cabelas one that has the built in seat if it will come back put for sale

I've still got my same Wal-Mart vest. I bought it about 15 years ago. I don't use a cushion anymore. I carry one of those low profile chairs that I got off the cabelas website.
