There are several things to keep in mind.
The GoPros and many of the other mini-camcorders do not have the ability to zoom much, if at all. That isn't a problem for close up action, and the video is great. I had a unit similar to GoPro a few years ago, but I ditched it when I had great footage of birds at less than 100 yards, and you couldn't even make them out. They were just specks on the screen. Another issue is a poor microphone. You could barely hear a gobble even with a bird not very far away.
So, I went with one of the small handheld units. Mine is a Samsung. You can get them for $100 or so on eBay.
The problem with these type cameras is how you are going to mount the camera while trying to hunt. I used a gun mount for a while, and it works really well, but you get a lot of distortion with the recoil at the shot. You can use a tripod, but you have to figure out how to position it while you are seated against a tree. In a blind, that wouldn't be an issue.
Self-filming is tough, but rewarding.
Here is some footage I got last week. I just had it in my hand once I realized there was no gobbler with them.
