This is my first attempt of using the cam on video mode, not sure if I don't have it set up right or if there is something not functioning correctly with the camera ! All input and advice is appreciated :) Here are a couple of vid's as example's.

Notice the time of day on the first video, it should be in color and the length is only about 3-4 seconds. The second video is correct. Not sure what is going on but would like to figure it out !!

That second video with the two bucks is awesome!

I never set my NT50Bs on video, so I can't help you with that.

Thanks BSK !! I was hoping you would comment as I knew you had experience with the Uway's. Any certain reason you don't set your's to video ? I know of a couple active scrape's that the deer use year after year and have already started using that I am gonna set it up on. It will be on a field edge so the dense cover will be taken out of the equation, any other advice will be noted as well.

I don't use video because of the reason I use cameras--to run a season-long census. As a requirement of the census, I need the highest resolution pictures possible for identifying each photographed buck, to decide which buck he is by his antler configuration and/or body markings. The video settings don't produce the image resolution I need.

Thanks everyone and great points BSK. All n all I am pleased with the camera's, they do take excellent picture's night and day. I had 507 video's on a 36 day run, alot of the video's were only 2-3 seconds and in black in white in the middle of the day, not sure why but that is the only complaint I have with them and that could be from a setup error. More test runs to come !!

Normally, short video clips are the sign of weak batteries, but because you got normal length videos later, I doubt that is the problem.

Love that second video and not sure what happened in the first one. I just got my first Uway NT50b in the mail today and am planning on setting it up on a persimmmon tree that is getting hit pretty hard this friday. I think I will try the video setting as well. I have had it set up in my office all afternoon and the pic quality is excellent and video is good.
