Saw that they have asked for a extension and NCAA granted it. Could you imagine if they didn't and gave them their Bowl ban. Wow that would have shook some people.

Good Grief Trey, you just gave Doughboy an idea. He will be protesting outside NCAA headquarters this afternoon demanding a bowl ban for Tennessee. 😁

Ive heard some about that. Nothing big will come of any of it bc administration hit it head on but if NCAA did do something bc the Vols major infractions there would be no crying from me. I don't have tinted glasses for the team I root for.

Yeah that would have sucked.
Personally, speaking about ANY team, when a coach did something against the rules, once that coach is gone the university should be free and clear.
100%. It should follow the coach assuming they are still coaching and the kids at the university and the coaching staff that are currently there, that did nothing, should not be punished.

To be clear when I say follow the coach, it should only impact them. So if Pruitt is the coach somewhere else, he should be fined and suspended. Nothing should happen to the new university or its players.

I know someone will argue that the universities push the bad behavior trying to win and only holding the coach accountable will let them off the hook, but those kids and current coaches haven't done anything wrong so they should not be punished, period. I think the new rules allude to that line of thinking and that is why they got granted the extension.

Austin Price reported a couple of days ago that a postseason ban wasn't on the table.

I know nothing about anything, but if you weren't concerned about anything major, why kick the can down the road?

Are they hoping they'll just forget about it?

Bcse imo I think they would have placed the Vols on a year bowl ban from JP days and this could have been they year. So buying a extra 30 days is big for them. I guess. Would suck for y'all if they did that this year with the year the Vols are having. I doubt they will imo
