Any of you notice ur backup QB and how mad he looked? Even Herbsteit said he should have headphones on listening to what's going on if not playing. IMO not a good look for him. Leaving Dormandy in was the right move and it paid off.

When I saw him, I first thought of Jalen Hurd. He had the same look that Hurd did when thing weren't going his way and he was on the sidelines during a game. Whether or not he intended to do so, I felt he gave the impression that he is not very excited to play at the collegiate level and definitely not willing to put in his time on the sideline. He looked like a spoiled brat that was not getting his way! You can bet that cameras will focus in on him during the next game(s) too. Just my thoughts.

Yeah was very odd looking.

Ima guess he was upset he was not getting to play.

looks like Dormandy will be the guy this year & next. Other dude will probably leave & make someone a good QB.

Speaking of Herbsteit this is what he had to say about Dormandy

"There are some good things I saw from Tennessee tonight. I really liked Dormady at quarterback. I thought early the whole offense was trying to feel themselves and trying to find an identity. And then when they got behind I thought 'Boy, this is tough to put on this kid's shoulders.' By the way, Jauan Jennings is out, and he's your only real returning receiver with Josh Smith out and injured, and yet the kid made throw after throw and got them back into position to eventually get in to overtime."

I think Dormandy is the leader of the team this year & next.

It did not look good.

Some have speculated that he was promised a chance to get in the game, and it didn't happen. Whatever his reasoning, I guarantee it gets dealt with, or at least I hope it does, and isn't allowed to fester like Hurd's deal.

When they were talking about both quarterbacks in the spring game, I figured whomever didn't get the start would end up transferring elsewhere. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to hear that news in the next few weeks.

It really wouldn't make sense for JG to transfer. Unless he went down from FBS, he would have to sit out the rest of this year and all of '18. Then there's the chance that he may not win the job at the transfer school in '19.
If he stays, then he may get the starting job because of injury or win it outright.

I noticed it too. There yall are basically tying the game up 27-28 with the TD (Extra point to come) and there they showed him walking down field like he was disgusted.

Must be alot of butthurt going on with that boy.

I just bet that CBJ plays both QB's in the very near future.
I think he almost did last night.
I hope he doesn't get into that crap it tears a QB up.and they lose confidence.
I think if CBJ does not do as well as last year he will be on the hot seat

I can tell just from the 5 secs they had him on screen he is not a team player. Probably would do more harm then good if put in. Bet he used to be the big shot on his high school team and is used to getting his way. Just not a good look for him last night.

Butch has been saying all fall camp that both have earned the right to play and both would play. Im not sure if JG was told he would for sure play last night or not. If the game had been going differently Im sure he would have but things were beyond tight and Butch decided to let Dormandy figure it out and he did. Im with Trey on it being a good decision to leave QD in. It no doubt helped him build some confidence.

Some were saying that Condredge Holloway came over and gave JG a little pep talk and then later after the game be tweeted about how he was proud of his team and it was a good team win. Maybe he calmed down and realized he was being childish or maybe he was told to do that for appearances. Idk

I feel like guarantano would be the better qb for our read option offense. There were so many plays where dormady should have kept the football and ran with it. He could have gashed them a few times. They didn't respect his legs at all.

He kept it twice I think. Both times were for decent gains and I think it loosened the defense up both times because Im pretty sure there were some big plays right after both times he kept it.

Watching JG high school tape, the boy can run. I think people are trying to make him out to he Dobbs 2.0 as a runner tho and I dont think he is. I think he is definately more mobile than QD but really neither one needs to be super mobile. They just need to make the right reads and keep it a few times a game. That lingering thought that the QB could keep it really screws with a defense sometimes.

Neither one will ever be Josh Dobbs. Dobbs had the ability to make something out of nothing like very few I have watched. He was slippery, pretty good sized and a deceptively fast runner.

He wasn't afraid to take a hit or run over someone... best QB we have had since Peyton I believe.

I thank this.

He won't do anything until the season is over. Hopefully someone will talk some sense into him. If things go as they should he will play quite a bit this Saturday.

I think JG need to stay patient & support his teammates.

Worst case he starts as a JR & gets 2 full years as the main guy in the SEC for the team he wanted to play for.

This guy singed knowing Dobbs would be the guy his true freshmen year & he would redshirt knowing QD would be a JR & probably have a head start when it came to this year.

Maybe he thinks he out played QD in camp & should have started maybe. Not want they was reported in camp, but could be the case. I'm sure he thinks he is better the QD which is not a bad thing. Maybe CBJ is just not seeing it kinda like he did with are HBs last year Kamara should have started/played more before he did. he turned out to be a lot better player then people thought, but CBJ kept running Hurd out there. I don't know it's hard I would like to see them both get shots to be the guy at UT.

I'm leaning toward QD just because I feel as a JR it's more his time/turn to be the guy after setting two years behind Dobbs while JG has not even been there 2 fu years.
