Vols Favored in 11 games ???

I would be tickled to death with 11 wins,if they won 11 games, they would be a shoe in for the 4 team playoff,Go Vols

And what are they favorite by? Several scores or a few points. I looked at it already and that will change as the season plays out. The Vols will win 7 games next season... :)

So does this mean the vols will be underachieving if they win less than eleven?

No, if you read the article, they are expecting the Vols to go 8-4 or 9-3 in the regular season. There are a few games the Vols are favored by a point or less, so these games are considered a coin toss. How can a #15-20 ranked team be favored over top ten teams??? I am a little confused on that one. Go Vols!

Favored means expected to win right??? so the OP is saying 11 wins they should have.

The article is a bit confusing. Favored in eleven games, but expected to win 8-9? Maybe espn expects the vols to underachieve.

If the odds are winning a game are %50.01, you are favored to win, but it is still a coin toss. They are predicting they will win half of them(hence %50), just by simply playing the odds. Surely that isn't confusing to a Vandy fan, the smartest team in the SEC!

Favored and expected are two entirely different things.

I'm confused.
I didn't go to vandy. Probably couldn't have gotten in. Definately couldn't have afforded it.
I did read the article and didn't see anything that said 50.01%. Lowest was georgia at 51. Next lowest was 58.
Are fans of certain schools supposed to have attended school there?

You did say YOU were confused on how the vols were favored over higher ranked teams.
