That was a good chuckle,comparing Butch to Dooley,wow just wow,plus the fact of comparing Josh Dobbs to Bray.This writer needs to be fired for his ignorance :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

So why the optimism now compared to the skepticism in 2012? Well, there are a number of factors, including a strong finish to the previous season as opposed to a terrible finish to the 2011 season, and Jones has brought in two much better recruiting classes than Dooley has. Also, there is a character thing at quarterback. Joshua Dobbs seems to be much more of a character player than Bray.

But outside of those three minor things, the situations are relatively the same. Oh, and there is one final factor. It was the death nail for Dooley.

Minor? MINOR? Hmm, OK :shock: :rotf: !

Keep finding these. I love exposing idiocy :tu: !

Both Dooley and CBJ have the same record after 2 seasons at UT. Considering that Bray is in the NFL and Dobbs has only started a hand full of games for UT. Edge Bray.... :tu:

I didn't writer the article..... :) It was hit or miss on some of the comparisons. The last line is interesting because CBJ has spent a lot of time marketing the program that has caused the "hype". We all know what can happen when any product is hyped up but doesn't meet the consumers expectations..... :livid: Dooley on the other hand never marketed himself and fans wouldn't of liked him if he won 8-9 games a season..... :tu:

You need to shake that Crystal Ball you have, even though Fulmer was a good coach, I think he was getting a little stale, yes Dooley was a big mistake from the beginning, but to say Fulmer would have brough any more success than Butch Jones is questionable.
But when Haters Hate, we sometimes have to overlook the validity of the source. :tu:

Can you imagine if the Gators beat the Vols this season? What would Vol fans say for the next 365 days if that happened? It seems like this is a do or die game for Vol fans this year.

Really, this is a joke??? They have been beat for a decade and has that changed anything..... :tu: The reason I posted the 2012 season compared to now is because that was the year UT was going to beat the Gators. The fans where all hyped up and there was no way that UT could lose. Well, UF blew UT out of Neyland Stadium and the UT fans were running over each other getting out of there midway through the 3rd QT. That was also the last straw for Dooley. If UT loses this season against UF, the fans will be calling for CBJ head. When something is hyped up and ends up not being as advertised. The consumers will show their displeasure..... :D

Something just seems different about this year. I think the emotional investment that many Vol fans have made in this game has reached a peak this year. I think a lot of Vol fans have made this a true do or die game in their heads. Life will go on if the Vols don't win the game, but I'm afraid some of them will have reached the breaking point if the Gators reach 11 straight with a first year head coach.

If Butch loses this year's game, barring a Dobb's injury, he should be fired on the spot.

There is no way Gruden could say "No" with the talent that Butch has assembled :D !
