Imagine that... A drunk kid in college.

Agree... But the main concern would be, what was he doing on foot at I-40 and James White Pkwy? There aren't many parts of I-40 through Knoxville more dangerous than that area.

He was probably on his way to a bar, where he could take a swing at a female.

Because he was stupid!

From his dad, "Guys....... beyond embarrassed about this obviously. Not the way he was raised, or the way he conducts his business. Went to the Chainz concert Saturday night with some other teammates. Felt something was about to go down at the concert, and left to avoid that trouble. Had been drinking, which I obviously do not agree with. Cell phone was dead, or would have called UBER, and decided to walk home. Made the POOR choice of trying to cut accross the interstate, and got picked up. He understands the mistake he's made, and will use this as a big wake up call as to how he is supposed to behave. That's the story. I know he is goning to tak a bunch of *#@* from a bunch of people, but that comes with the territory. He will own up to it, and satisfy whatever consequence comes of it. Andrew is a good kid, and made a mistake.

I'm in no way a vol fan, but the kid did the right thing by walking home if he felt that something bad was about to happen if he stayed. A PI charge is not the end of the world for him at all. Imo he made the right decision.

I got a PI in college when my neighbors dog bit me in the mouth and I took a taxi to the er to get stitches. The taxi was waiting outside for me when I got done, as well were the police. I guess the doc that stitched me up smelled booze and called the law. Apperantly a PI is just as it sounds no matter the circumstance. Intoxicated in public!
Good on the boy for walking and not driving, or getting in car with someone that was.
Still Shuda took a cab.

At least he didn't pass out at a red light.

Yeah or pull a Leonard Little or Dante Stallworth and kill people driving drunk!
