Vols RB coach out

That one was a shocker for me. He will be a Gator by dinner time i'm sure. Apparently Pruitt was giving him an on the job interview for the past 2 months and decided to cut him loose. I don't know how factual that is but Gillespie appeared to be a great RB coach. Pruitt has some brass. He has made some big hires so hopefully he has someone lined up ready to go.
 
Per sources, Gillespie did not mesh with Pruitt and the Vols' new staff. In part of his culture change identified as necessary to push Tennessee forward, Pruitt found what sources said were "stale" mindsets.

Looks like it's "my way, or the highway". The Bammer isn't afraid to rock the boat. Only time will tell!

I had the same reaction. How many rushing yards did Weinke have in his career? I'm betting it's less than 40 :D !

I just checked and I was right again (in my best PDB voice). His total rushing yards were -366 :shock: :D ! And yes I know sacks are included, but still.
 
But he ties with IMG Academy??? Maybe that is the real reason. I say that in my sarcastic voice BTW. I say pay GAs RB coach a couple extra hundred and try to get him to come to the Orange side.
 
really no different than a db coach moving to coach lb's. i mean he was the head coach at IMG for 5 years. I'm sure he knows more than just passing a football

Sunseri was a good pickup as a position coach. Never was a good DC.
 
solid LB/position coach. occasional recruiter (ie: not elite).
arguably one of the worst single season performances as an SEC defensive coordinator at UT
 
For a bunch of Bammer haters y'all sure like to steal our coaches lol

In all seriousness other than the ribbing I've given the vols about stealing coaches and Pruitt's Aight .. I haven't seen a single misstep he's really made since taking the helm ... He's made some pretty solid decisions for the vols and it looks like for once the upper office are taking the steps to back the coach both financially and from a support position . Something they have not done in a long time . It's really starting to piss me off :) LOL
