I think Pruitt and company are doing a pretty solid job. Hopefully these kids pan out. A lot of folks like to blame CBJ for not coaching kids up, but to hear many NFL football players tell it, at the end of the day in college, coaching matters, but the athleticism of the players, the strength of the players, their ability, etc. determines what happens on the field. If you don't have the players, you won't win much, regardless who is coaching.

Point in case if Saban took over TN last year IMO they would not have done too much better.

Anyway, I keep up with recruiting, and TN looks to be in good position with Darnell Wright. The one that shocked me and I had seen stories saying things MAY be shifting a little, was the To'oto'o battle. Since they started predicting he has been 100% Bama, now they are saying 73% Bama 27% TN.

Not saying by any means we will get him, but the fact that they are challenging Bama for some of these guys says a lot to me. I think TN fans need to chill out and trust the process. If in 5 years we are still horrible, we'll reevaluate then, but I am pleased right now with the way things are going.
 
The main Bama recruiter for HT just left for the Browns, so the Vols are starting to get a couple of CB for him. Still a very tough pull from BAMA, and since he is a west coast guy, he may surprise everybody with USC or Oregon.

Right now it looks like TN may have more potential signees than they have spots, but, Pruitt has finished second on several since he got there. Numbers normally work themselves out. If they can get Wright and a good linebacker I am good with this year's class.
 
What coaches are left at bama? The intern Jones? Lolololol.

I hope the butch disease has infected bama.

Crystal balls are coming in for the VOLS (see the all caps?) on To'oto'o quickly since tosh left bama.

On a diff note (not to hijack) but I am wondering which coach is going to leave? Once we hired Tee Martin, we have one to many and someone has to go. Thought it was going to be Kelly (safeties coach) to Maryland for the OC but latest reports says he has turned down the offer.
 
TOTO and Wright would be HUGE. Even just one of them would be HUGE.

I think I read where he pulled Kelly off recruiting to put Tee on. I was really shocked that Kelly didn't go to Maryland after reading that. It is kind of odd now that Saban cant keep coaches but Pruitt can. Hopefully that is a sign of whats to come. Maybe Pruitt isn't so hard to work for after all.

I think getting these current signees/players to help recruit is a really big deal.

That's weird because many think he might even flip to UF with a change at Bama and Miami. Stay tuned.... :tu:

Like you said a lot can happen, the ball has him leaning more our way, since the main recruiter left for the Browns
 
Just announced that TN is getting a transfer from GA, D. Gibbs. He was a highly rated recruit, but, apparently, has had some "issues" at GA and is in need of a clean start. He will have to sit out this year, and then will have two years to play. He counts against this year's numbers, so, the Vols are down to two, maybe three slots. Hopefully they are Wright, HT, and maybe one more. I'd like to see the LB from Dyersburg get the last slot.
