And just for comparison, FSU put together a roster loaded with NFL talent, that won three conference titles, a national championship and 29 games in a row — and spent a whopping 4.5 million dollars (!!!) less on recruiting than Tennessee, which spent $6,485,544 during that same five-year stretch. (Source below) Yeah its a Tallahassee paper but the numbers don't lie.

Spend more, get less? :pop:

Oh yeah!!, just wait till 2016, or maybe 17. That's when the vols will get their monies worth. Just ask any vol fan on tndeer.

Dude, it's the state of Florida   !

BTW, this was posted a week or so ago and Gnb was so kind to explain the obvious reasonings behind it :D !

you can spend far less when most of your players are within a couple hundred miles, heck the coaches probably don't have to stay out of town on a recruiting trip, they can make it back home every evening. TN has to recruit nationally, it cost money when you are traveling to texas, California, ohio, florida, etc.

Our state isn't overpopulated which is good, and they want to play football here, which is good! And yes we will have the horses starting now which is good!!

Vols have commits from players who live in, California, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, North Caroline, south Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Michigan, And all across the great state of Tennessee.

^^^This is Not counting all the travel they do across the U.S. to talk to players that don't commit

as of now gators have commits from players who live in, Florida, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana

FSU has players from 5 states outside Florida.

So UT has players from 9 States outside Tennessee, UF and FSU combined have players from 8 States outside of Florida.

Thanks.... I thought I did a pretty good job also.... :tu:

The vols have historically been at the top of spending for recruiting. It's been this way since at least the 70's. As mentioned before, the lack of homegrown talent makes it necessary.

What I'm saying is Tennessee has historically been on the shy end of producing top college football players. Didn't say there were none.Dontae Hightower and Barrett Jones come to mind.

Butch and his staff better watch out. They'll get fired. Without a doubt this has to be misappropriation of funds. What are they doing wasting money recruiting in states like Michigan and Ohio? Any SEC fan will tell you football is a joke up north. There's no talent. Obviously they are visiting family back home under the guise of "recruiting."

You idjits just can't stand the truth unless it's orange. Enjoy the recruiting trophy tomorrow. Never seen one, but by the way you guys are slobbering all over each other, it must be something to behold.
