Excited to get this series kicked off tonight. Last weekend was great but I have a nagging feeling that Ole Miss was slightly over ranked & this weekend may be a different animal. 6:00 central on ESPN 2. Not much to say about it I hope it lives up to the billing.

I know that something had to be going on with the time of the day and visibility, but TWO routine fly balls that any 10 yr old team would catch, weren't even close to being caught. They looked like they had never had fly ball practice.

I missed the bat issue in the first inning. Is this something that Vandy initiated, or did the umps do it on their own?

Anyway, I love Vitello's quote afterwards, " "I don't even know that Jordan Beck should be at the University of Tennessee," Vitello said sarcastically. "He forged his transcript. He is actually a 35-year-old man named Mike Honcho. He just shows up to practice every day and he is a good kid so we put him in the lineup."

I don't know either we were in the car and I missed it too. I knew when it happened I would be looking forward to what Vitello had to say about it post game!

Another great performance.

I think that's probably the first baseball game that I have watched in entirety in probably 25 yrs.

This team is fun to watch, and as much praise as the pitching and offense is getting, let's not forget the defense, especially the infield. They are making some difficult plays look routine.

Beam threw a gem. Listened to most of it with John Wilkerson and he said when the last complete game was but I can't remember. Anyway pretty dang good start to SEC play for this bunch.
