Did anyone else see the ball coming out of the KO returner's hand as he was diving for the pylon? We UT fans know all to well that if the player is losing control of the ball BEFORE hitting it, then it's ruled a FUMBLE and touch back. Pig Howard lost the GA game for us a few years ago on such a play (not blaming him, it just happened).

I wanted a closeup replay, but ESPN wouldn't show it. They even went to replay to review if he stepped out of bounds, but again no closeup of the ball coming out. I was so hoping they would come back with that call, but knew that there was no way that was gonna happen in that spot!

(this should be fun)

I had the same thought when he scored but decided that there wasnt anyway that would ever be called on anybody but TN ever. So I just let it go and called it a TD like the refs did.

I bet you guys are s riot at deer camp. "If I had aimed 3 feet higher I would've killed a monster buck" "if I wasn't busy eating my 3rd honey bun I would've seen that buck" [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

The onside kick and being off sides is more of a question than the TD , in my opinion

Looked good to me ,ball didn't come out of hand until it touched pylon

Reference the Kenyan Drake TD return, two good angles here starting at 1:08:

You can run it frame-by-frame and see the ball doesn't start to move until after his left hand hits the ground out-of-bounds. The side view shows the left hand doesn't hit the ground until after the ball breaks the plane. It was close, but a good call.

I agree.

However, I sure didn't see that blatant block in the back earlier ;) :D !

(Just messin with you Zulu. Doubting PDB's attention span lets him read this far down :) ! )

You serious, or just funnin' like PalsPal? The closest I saw was Bama #20 pancaking #44 at 12 sec. But 44 actually had a hold on 20's jersey, and when Drake cut he tried to shift, got off balance, and 20 drove him into the ground.

After watching it about 10 times, before Drake cut left Clemson had 7 defenders between the near hash and the sideline, and at least 10 on the near side of the field. All Drake had to do was juke one defender and he had half the field to play with. Rule #1 of kickoff coverage: STAY IN YOUR LANE.

Is it really saban's son?

I thought, "no way", but then did a quick search. It could be him. I thought this was priceless:

[UPDATE: 1:15 PM: A spokesman at Alabama said, "We don't have a comment."]

9 years as a Bammer will do that to person. Unfortunately, the damage is most likely irreversible.
