Not a joke.....but my years in the woods in spring made me notice the great little birds that migrate through our area, including bluebirds, warblers etc. I'm thinking about getting an atlas. Does anyone else watch birds while hunting? Any recommendations for a portable pocket identification book? I would like to get into this year. Thank you

I have a wildlife degree and took a bird class in college so yeah I can't get away from them! Lol.. I know most by sight and sound. I have the Sibley's field guide to birds of eastern north America that I would recommend.

same as rbreedi here...being a forestry/wildlife major i just know most of them....i have a book i got back during college that is great so when i get to work tomorrow i will look and see who it is by and let you know.

i have been trying to get pics of all the different birds i see while on stand but the little boogers rarely sit still long enough. they can be entertaining.
