Wayne County Deer processor??

A deer can be transported from a CWD positive to another CWD positive county and have it processed there.

"A deer carcass cannot be moved outside of positive counties but can move from one positive county to another positive county."

Is Wayne "high risk" or "positive"? Last I saw it is "high risk".

If it is high-risk, the deer could be taken directly into Hardin or Decatur county and then other high-risk or positive counties connected to Hardin or Decatur. This may not be practical depending on where you are hunting.

It is high risk

Going north, south or east is out of the question.

Since I live just across the state line it's not a a huge deal because we've had to deal with anyway for a few years now. Plus I'm used to hunting in CWD states out west.

But I imagine it'll be a big deal for some coming from north and east.

It's obvious around here even in my positive Alabama county that the art of cleaning a a deer is lost or people are lazy

Or both

I'm hoping one of those AL cwd deer about 20 miles away meanders into Lawrence county and then dies near the Giles county line. Then I will have my choice of processors. :)

This whole process reminds me of Covid. TWRA does not know squat and I'm not wearing their mask anymore.
