Wife and I hit the buddy stand this morning and I was carrying my crossbow. Had a lone buck cruise by about 30 minutes after settling down but he was a bit far out. I'm looking for a nice 8pt that I've caught on camera so wouldn't you know it we had two sets of momma doe and two babies all within shooting range when we caught sight of another buck coming in.... as he got closer we saw he was a small 4 pt. He was trailing one of the large does and was within 14 yards at one time. I always tell my Wife that if I could have made a kill then it was a successful hunt to me. Exciting for sure.
