Friendly reminder- there's no excuse to be on the water without your PFD this time of year. Of everything that can break, I recently had a weld on a seat base go while I was running the trolling motor. That could be an absolute disaster.

You are absolutely right. Glad you didn't go over board & are ok. I fish a lot by myself and always wear a life jacket.
Foam filled in cold weather is best from what I have read.

I also wear a blaze hat when I'm winter fishing. On the off chance I fall overboard and can't recover, I want to be visible.
