So I'll start by saying I'm not enough of a real man to go fingers to string. I use a tab.....a cheap one, at that. What I'm curious of is that if everyone else is limited to about 20 shots before blistering their shooting fingers.

I also should add I shoot 1 finger over, 2 under. Middle finger simply gets worn out. I've been shooting several days per week since april. Bow is 55#.

I shoot a 3 under tab. it has a double layer of leather for the fingers so I dont get much in the way of blisters.
as far as the number of shots I take? it depends on how well I am shooting. If my shooting is off, I stop. even if it'
s only 6 shots. i dont want to start bad habits by forcing my shots. if I am shooting well, I might go 20 to 30 minutes of shooting until I have to stop for something (wife calling supper's ready :) ) or running out of daylight. or if I start messing up my shots.

I mostly shoot the Duraglove from 3 Rivers. http://www.3riversarchery.com/Armguards ... oduct.html

It's just quicker/more convenient than a tab to me.

I tried the Cavalier tab and it gives a nice release and really protects the fingers better than anything else I've tried, but it takes a little fiddling with it, where I forget all about the glove. http://www.3riversarchery.com/Armguards ... oduct.html

I like the looks of the Widow tab, and it gets good reviews, but I think I'm just a glove guy. http://www.3riversarchery.com/Armguards ... oduct.html

I shoot a Saunders Pak Tab. It is made out of a synthetic material that is slicker than snot and is impervious to the weather. It is a split finger tab, but I shoot it 3 under.

You will find that very, very few people shoot without a glove or tab. Bare fingers are not as slick as a good tab or glove. Shooting with bare fingers can also result in nerve damage to the finger tips.

A tab or glove definitely gives you a better release. Make sure you aren't using your fingertips, but are either in the first knuckle grove, or even a bit deeper.

Well I shoot with a glove. No idea what kind it is. Eddie you can have your tab back next time I see ya. Just don't get a smooth release shooting split with it.

I use the pads of my fingers between there and the first knuckle. If I hook much deeper I pluck pretty bad.

Mostly shoot with bare fingers but my bow is only 50# draw weight, if I use anything its a tab.

I didnt know it could cause nerve damage...maybe its time to start use'n a tab all the time.

For what it sez used to use a tab with my compound then went to a release, but if my tab was worn out I used band aids, ther slick a greased light'nin...& cheap.
