Funny, firing our coach with 1 true recruiting class aint happening

It will be interesting if he only goes 2-10 or 3-9 this season. I'm sure the Ga St game will be the one that they point back to because that game had nothing to do with recruiting. That was all poor coaching.

Ga St probably didn't have five 3 star players on the field. Fulmer will be in a tough spot as an AD and I think that he will give CJP every chance but it will come down to the boosters in the end. They are the ones that pay the bills and there were a lot of empty seats for the GA game.

Basically this Miss St. Game is probably the most crucial game of the season for the entire program. Probably will decide CJP future at this point.

He is safe through next year no matter the outcome of this game I think.

Man that would be tough if I were that fan. 2-10 knowing he is safe makin 6 mill to do that. Took a step back from last year and doesn't look like its gonna be much better next season. WR play is only Jennings and I think Calloway? QB play is still yet to really be known (I think the qb might be better) defense don't think is gonna be much better.

We have officially hit rock bottom this year. Only one way to go no matter how long and tough it is.

It takes a real man to be a Vol fan. :tu:

If you notice, other than Jennings, Trey Smith, our best players are Pruitts freshman, he needs another year getting his players

Not sold on Pruitt but we need to give him time to see what he can do.

Agree, and wasn't really enamored with him from the beginning.

But, no matter what internet warriors may spout, he's not going anywhere even if we lose the rest of them unless he does something where we could get out of paying the buyout.

Jones left him a mess, which will take time to climb out of.

Hey, didn't Saban lose to La Tech or someone similar :D ?

Unless a big dog booster cuts the check for his buyout, he will be the Vols coach in 2020. They don't have the reserve funds to pay off him and his coaching staff and hire any quality coach. This year's record is less important in any decisions than holding together most of the recruiting class he has committed at this point. If it totally falls apart before December, all bets are off.

they should of kept dooley

Yeah, keep a coach that goes a whole recruiting year without signing a single offensive lineman.

I do think Dooley has learned a lot from his time in the NFL and as OC for MO. He might be a good replacement for Muschamp when SC sends him packing.

IDK I watched SC play ALABAMA and they did a admirable job I thought. Tough loss to UNC for sure. They don't look horrible playing ball compared to other teams that coaches are higher up the list.
