On Wmas, Would the crowds go down on weekdays vs. what they are on Weekends. I came over last year on opening weekend on Cheatham and was blown away by the ammount of people there. Thankfully a local landowner didnt mind if we hunted on him. I dont figure we will get that lucky again this year so I was thinking on trying coming up and hunt during the week.

My first deer trip was on Yanahli last year and after pouring rain for a few hours around sunrise, me and a buddy were sitting in the car warming up and drying off and a few trucks went by the drive and they were wearing blaze...it was a soaking wet, rainy Tuesday. I guess they will always be out there, but I imagine weekends are the worst.

I think we decided to go during the first week and try our luck. If it is still really crowded... we may go knock on doors offering to pay to hunt again.

I hunt Cheatham alot and during the week the hunter numbers are way down from those on the weekends. I know what you mean about the weekend its not uncommon for the hunter numbers to be in the 300-400 range. Most of the hunters I see are from out of state during the week. Tn turkey season opens up weeks before alot of the states to our north. Last year I saw trucks from Ohio, Ky, Mo, New York, Kansas, Iowa and Georgia.
