long story short I had 3-4 birds gobbling in the dark and eased up about 75yds from them. Had a BUNCH of hens roosted with them but thought oh well worth a shot. Toms pitch straight down and Im thinking I have a chance......then it happened....for some reason got something in my throat and literally could not stop coughing. And I mean like coughing to the point I thought I was going to puke, my eyes were watering so much I couldnt see and my nose started to run like crazy. Needless to say my chances went downhill fast lol. I still dont know what the heck happened, 2 hours later and my throat still feels weird and have to cough from time to time. I can literally say that is a first for me.

Note to self, don't breath with your mouth open while turkey hunting :rotf:
No telling what kind of bug you inhaled. Probably a good protein breakfast

Poplar, maple, or sycamore does this to me each spring at least once and it's miserable. Not sure which tree it is but it's brutal

Fisherman's Friend cough drops are the only thing that stopped my coughing spells.

Each morning as I leave the vehicle I break one in half and suck on it. You will be amazed.

My dad put me on them a few years ago. They have a strong taste, but you'll eventually get used to it. You can get them at Walmart, etc. for $3-4.

The first time I bought some the lady behind the counter mentioned that a lot of singers use them to clear their voices.

Had a guy hunting with us in Texas that started coughing 75 yds from the Roost. Birds gobbled every time he coughed

Welcome to my world. The pollen is thick.
My black truck gets washed every couple years whether it needs it or not. Right now it's green. Worst I ever remember seeing.
