The buck I have been after as officially gone nocturnal

I wouldn't count on him being nocturnal just yet..The rut hasn't started.Now after the rut,then yes,he will probably be nocturnal if he lives through it..
 
i have hunted bell buckle quite a bit over the years and most of the areas i have hunted seem to have little hunting pressure compared to other areas of the county. he may show himself when the rut starts during the daylight hours. i hunt a farm near Happy Valley Rd, and i have scarcely heard a shot even on opening day. compared to my farms in wheel where it will sound like a dove shoot.
 
why are you assumeing he is nocturnal,he has got big for being smart.why eat all these acorns in the daytime,when he can eat at night,great buck,good luck getting him
 
He'll come out in daylight again. Wait until we are under a new moon and there is a cold snap. He;ll be out again. Rut will put him right in your sights no matter what the moon.

x2. each yr there are some hosses killed in the bell buckle, beech grove, wartrace area during the rut
