They they finally decided to gobble this morning. This has been the quietest opening week I've ever seen. Up until today I have heard exactly 1 gobble! Was starting to think maybe the turkeys in my area packed up and moved to China! Had a hunch it was going to be a good day though with the cool temps and lower humidity. Long story short, was set up about 80 or so from one on the roost. Right before fly down I had a dog come jogging through between me and him...ended that. Got up and hurried down the ridge to another bird I'd heard. He'd shut up, but I eased into a little flat where I thought I had the best chance of getting him to commit. About 25 minutes later he did.
