Well....

Barnes can coach.

It is obvious that he is a great teacher of basic basketball fundamentals.

These guys needed a win like this after taking the other top 20 teams down to the wire but not being able to finish them off.

I was afraid the missed free throws at the end were gonna bite them, but they persevered.

Makes it even sweeter by sending all those Calapari worshipers home after they started chanting when it appeared they were going to pull it out :D !

Good played with more heart than KY did. Athleticism doesn't always win games.

Exactly. That is shown in limiting KY offensive rebounds, and continuing to attack the basket against bigger players.

I love Grant William's game.

How's this for a stat line :super: :

13 points
6 rebounds
6 assists
4 blocks
3 steals

Not bad for a 6' 5" power forward who had offers from Ivy League schools as well as Rutgers, Wofford, etc :D !

Also, I saw this pic and just had to share.

LOL don't know why my post said Good... It should have said THEY

I'm a die hard KY fan as they come. But will always give credit when it's due. They played an awesome game and you can't be mad seeing the athletes play like they did.

I missed the game but good job on the vol players and coaches.
Vols made a good hire in Barnes. He's a proven winner and maybe exactly what the vols need to become a powerhouse in basketball in the future. Like butch has done with the football program. :?
