Yodel asked me a question and rather than polluting a different thread I thought I'd start a new one.

I'm still hunting with a Mathews Drenalin. I have a Drenalin LD that I used for 3D as a backup (it will be sold this year). Prior to the Drenalin I was a Hoyt guy, but the Drenalin just fits me perfectly.

I'm shooting a Hoyt ProElite for indoor spots. It's a 60lb bow set at 52lbs with spiral cams. I'll convert it over for fita/field by changing the blade and swaping the sight.

I'm still choosing a 3D bow, but it's between another 60lb ProElite with spirals or a 60lb UltraElite with spirals. I might set the PE up for field/fita and use the UE for 3D.

I can't wait for warm weather and longer days so I can shoot more outside.

What's everybody else shooting?

Paradis - the iron mace is a cool bow. Crazy fast too. I've read that HCA is making a comeback this year.

AS - what arrows are you shooting with the UE? I'm shooting fatboys, built to 318gr.

Nothing now, sold my Hoyt Vulcan XT. I've got a Martin Bengal on the way as I type, complete with the STS and the CCS. It has the new Acu-Trak cam and the Pivoting ROTO Cup system. It utilizes adjustable draw modules, so no press needed for draw length adjustment. Can't wait for the big brown truck!!

You're gonna laugh but shot old school AC/C last year. Gonna try the fats this year. I like the "help" and at times I could really use all I can get. :D

I shoot Easton Navigators for field/fita. I've considered shooting them for 3D. The tolerances are tighter and they fly great. The only problem with them is the slowness in which they travel. Combine slow speeds with my yardage judging and the 8s stack up quickly.

I know what you mean! What fletchings do you use on the fats? Do you fletch them yourself? If so what jig?

FlexFletch Flash is what I'm using now. I've tried all sizes of Blazer and they just don't do as well as the Flash. Bitz jig with a straight clamp and as much offset as I can get with that short of a vane.

On my Navigators I'm shooting FF187s. Those are cool little vanes.

I noticed the FF175 are a little shorter and taller have you tried those? May look into them?

Just one bow for me. I've got the trusty Hoyt UltraTech with a Trophy Taker dropaway rest. Deer season doesn't end down here in Alabama until the end of the month. On February 1st I'll be switching out my hunting sight for a Toxonics. I'll shoot indoor that day then start hitting the 3d circuit.

Jay, I'm still thinking about going to Gainesville. My dad might come down from Kentucky too. Are you even considering it?

Gainesville is out for me. I'd like to, but the timing doesn't work. I probably won't make one until London.

For hunting I still use a Matthews FX (shot and fast)great treestand bow
For Indoor 3D I use a Hoyt Pro
For Outdoor 3D I use a Mathews Q2

HCA Premier Pro Series. Bought it in 2000 or 2001, can't remember, but still quiet and straight.
