I have a mossburg 835 I put an ATI pistol grip stock on it and I love the feel but it changed my cheek position and I'm hitting about foot high if not more. I can put the original back on but would moving to a 20 gauge youth model be bette? I'm kinda built like an alligator short and stocky with short arms so thinking shorter stock of the ATI would help but made it worse so would going to a youth model help??

Any sight recommendation? The thump doesn't hurt but dnt want a scope or anything bulky.

I have some model of truglo on mine. They came with a regular rear sight and a ghost ring. They're metal and the back is windage and elevation adjustable. I like them now that they are set but you have to be careful. I guess it's just part of having to make screws as small as the ones in this sight have to be, but these strip out if you even look at them funny. A person needs to make sure they are exactly where they need to be before tightening over two finger tight. I can't remember the model. They are the ones that have a ramp for the rear sight to slide up and down. Not the ones that just has a screw push on the rib to adjust elevation.

Like others said, either some kind of adjustable sight or go back to the original stock.

Doesn't the ATI stock have adjustable cheek riser? Mine does.

Yes it does and I've already made every adjustment I could make
Ok you answered my first question since you have the optic for adjusting POI
Go to God'a grip.com
He's probably got what you need to build up your cheek pad higher.
REN turned me on to that product.
I just installed the Shotgun Wedge on my 835.
He also makes cheek pads for the AR platform IIR.

Sry maybe I misinformed in my earlier post my cheek is already to high as it is now I cnt look through my rear sight . The way my head aligns with it the rear sight is about 1/4-1/2 inch below the front sight.

Thinking about the dead ringer beard buster. I'm not a huge turkey hunter havnt hunter in 2 yrs and have still never killed a turkey so not wanting to spend a lot of money but I want want something effective. Also going to get jellyhead choke (mossberg X factor )in it now but I think the shell doesn't like it might try different shot before I get the jelly head

Is 5-6 shot about the norm? Or is it all wat fits the gun best? Shooting turkey thug 4 shot 3 inch now

This is close to the look I have now sry it's hard trying to get that pic by myself

just put a larger bead on the front like a Tom Knapp Champion site. It will lower the POI down. thats a cheap solution unless you are wanting an optic which is another way obviously.

if your looking DOWN the barrel like that you may want to go with an optic though.

I agree, that high of a cheek weld, an optic should align nice for you
