Just got back into hunting 2yrs ago after about a 10yr break. A lot of my hunting gear is older but I had a few items that I personally loved. Like everything else on the market, if it works, they discontinue it. Two of the items I have looked for all over the web and none to be found so guess I'll have to go with the newer offerings, really aggravating. One of those items was Mossy Oaks Fall Foliage hunting pants, they were perfect for hunting in hardwoods and blended so well with the forest floor. Would wear a Bottomlands Shirt/jacket and Fall Foliage pants, lean against a large oak and just disappear. Other item was the Primos Hawkeye Headnet, down to my last one and it is falling apart. Lol Just wish "what works" they would leave alone and still offer.

Realtree brought back their tree bark pattern, mossy oak brought back greenleaf, you never know, they might bring back old patterns once in a while

I miss 2006 when there were 300 million birds in middle TN HAHAH. I also miss when turkey hunting wasnt very popular. use to be no issue finding places to hunt even places people deer hunted a bunch cause a lot of guys had no desire to hunt stupid birds.

Mossy Oak forest floor pants for sure. I wore several pair of them out back around 2000.
This, my God this!!! I'd kill to be able to go back in time and buy 50 pairs of pants.

I miss having a lot of birds to hunt. Now if there's 2 birds gobbling on a square mile, it's normal. Back in the day you could hear 8-10 in the same area.

Turkey hunting also used to be more a "cult". Now every body and their brother does it.

Just broke out a fresh pair I had scooped up off ebay a few years back. This will be the bottom half of my outfit going into the 3rd week.

I was digging around and found a pair of Forest Floor bibs I forgot I had. Was like a kid on Christmas morning. I have worn them every hunt so far this year. Going to wear them tomorrow.

Trebark was never part of realtrees line up. Jim Crumley is the man behind trebark camo, Bill Jordan is the realtree guy. Interesting bit of trivia I heard years ago: Jim was offered by walmart and kmart to carry his line of camo, he chose kmart. I have to imagine that's a choice he regrets every single day!
Mossy Oak had 2 patterns that were and still would be the best on the market for turkey hunters. Fall Foliage was the 1st pattern, which was based off the original treestand pattern with a lot of brown oak leaves added to it. Forest Floor was the 2nd pattern and as best as I can remember it was a entirely new pattern. These 2 patterns could make you disappear in the woods depending on the moisture conditions on any given morning. Fall foliage matches the woods when dew or rainfall aren't a factor. On those wet mornings forest floor gets the nod due to it being slightly darker overall. Ive got 3 pair of fall foliage and 4 pairs of forest floor left and I only wear them turkey hunting.

This! Early in my turkey hunting career, I can remember having trouble deciding which bird to go after at daylight. You could go to that same area today and be lucky to hear one maybe two birds.

Well besides this, I don't think I miss anything. Well, maybe time to hunt. I mean it would be nice if I had time like I used to before a family and how work is now, but I wouldn't trade it. I would like to have turkey call like the one I started out with but I don't really miss it and wouldn't use it probably anyway.

Full foliage was my favorite. It was just the green version of fall foliage. I liked the original bottomland, the old green leaf and tree stand, the old full and fall foliage.

Forest floor came out later, about the time original break up, shadow grass, and shadow leaf came out. I liked the original break up and shadow leaf for turkey hunting, except the original break up I thought had too much black in it.

Although it's kind of new, I love the obsession camo, the old obsession and the new NWTF obsession. And I really really like new bottomland. It looks exactly alike some of the big red oaks I hunt around.

I miss most of all though birds to hunt and endless time to hunt them....
