Well after years of saying I was going to do it, I finally broke down and bought everything I need to bowfish. My question is how do I remove a nock from an arrow so I can install the safety slide onto the arrow? Is there a way I can do it without destroying the nock? Any help is appreciated.

If its not glued you should just be able to pull it out. You may need to use some pliers or something to get a little better grip.

It must be glued pretty well. I tried pulling and twisting on it and it won't budge. I will take the pliers to it and see how it works. Thank you for the help.

What kind of arrow is it. If its an aluminum one it may be glued on. If its a carbon or an aluminum with a uni-bushing it should just be pushed in unless someone has glued it. If it is glued on you might try some hot water or a hair dryer or something to loosed the glue or you may have to bust it off and put another one on.

It's actually a fiberglass arrow used to bowfish. It looks like I will just have to wrestle around with it to get it off. I'm sure it will break but I have some extras. Thank you for the help.

it's glued on and you won't get it off without breaking it. i thought the safety slides came with a replacement nock for that reason.
