I am about to order some new arrows. I shoot a pse bow madness set to 27 in draw and around 71-72 pounds last we checked possibly going to turn it down to 68 this year. Right now I using radial weave pro 300 with 2in vanes and a 100 grain head. What would be a good replacement that will be as good or better. I don't want to start another rage tread so the next thing is I Am getting back to a fixed blade what would be a good option. Was looking at the g5. Also when I order my arrow where do I need to measure for the true length.

I shoot the carbon express maximas a few years back out of my black ice and like them. Sound like a good deal. I wonder if the compare I spine and weight?

a bunch of great arrows out there, if you are on a budget then Harvest Time HT-2 arrows are awesome. You can get a dozen over on archery talk from the guy that does the 60x stings (i think his name is brad) for $50ish bare shaft +$8 if you need them cut which is a steal (they retail $100 from harvest time) or you can get them $60 fletched.

they are very good shooting arrows from a great company, you can do a search for reviews over on archery talk for some info. I switched to the HT2 from the easton epics and i am very happy with the results.

but as i said there are a bunch of great arrows out there, as far as broadhead the G5 strikers and Ramcats are 2 that i have heard a bunch of great stuff about this year...i actually switched to the Strikers myself this year. just my 2 cents.

Personally, I use the Easton Epics because the have a decent tolerance for straightness (.003), small diameter which helps in penetration and is very economical (i just picked up 1 dozen bare shaft for $70 at Bass Pro). I use the G5 strikers as well because they have excellent flight characteristics and are a very damaging broadhead. As far as measuring "true" length, your true length will be measured from the valley that the string sets in on the nock to the end of the shaft, and the shaft should be cut about 1"-1 1/2" inches past the rest. Although, most shops do not measure that waythey measure from the back of the nock.

Goldtips are good arrows. The best arrow I have tried for hunting has been the Trophy Ridge arrows.
G5 strikers or Slick Tricks would be my choice for a fixed blade broahead.
