what kind of box call do you use.

I don't use one a lot. I don't really have one I like that much. I'm thinking about getting another one. I pretty sure I don't want another one with the waterproof coating.

Why?I think that is one of the best things for a box call.I hate chalking them.
 
The one I have doesn't sound good at all. It's squeaky even after roughed up and I never liked the sound of it from the start.
 
I am not a box call person, but by far the best box call you can buy is made by a guy named Darrin Dawkins out of Rock Hill, SC. All the store bought ones sounds like crap IMO, sure they sound good up close, but at a distance they have no definition and little if any break in the cadence which is essential IMO.
 
I've got Preston Pittman's sweet n nasty. Pure turkey. Proven deadly as a midday striker.
 
A old Ben Lee Twin Hen that I bought the first year I started turkey hunting. I have heard they sale for 100 bucks in good shape. anybody know for sure?
