Looks like my bullet die is soon to be delivered. I got a picture yesterday afternoon of the first one made from it. 6mm 103. I bought extra parts so I can also make 80 gr.

Is the one on the right like a "blank" and it just forms the tip?

Right one is a Sierra jacket, that had the boattail form punch used on it. I ordered Sierra, and J4 jackets. Only the J4 have been delivered so far.

Are you using a swaging die? You aren't doing that in a regular reloading press are you?

I have weighed 100 jackets, and taken that average weight by division, and ordered lead cores,I believe we're 71.45 grains to make 103 grain bullets. The core maker sizes the cores for 6mm jackets.

I wish it were true, but have only come close. The record I beat was unofficial. It was a 6 target aggregate of 1.677 inches at 600 yards.

Please post pics of the process of core insertion and the rest of the process, if that's not asking too much. This stuff is VERY interesting!

The die maker is setting up the press, as it will be a complete package, ready to begin using! It is a loading press.

So, you were shooting offhand......, just kidding. I doubt I could do that if the rifle was welded to the table!!
