Do you have more succes at daylight or in the late morning time frame (around 10 til noon) Killed limit last year and all of them before 7:30. Not many of my friends hunt past nine. But I have heard people talking about coming out around nine and then back around 11.

Im about half and half between daylight-9am and 4pm- dark. Have killed in the middle of the day a few times though. The best time is just all day long.

I uselly lay up in the woods all day. Pack a lunch because you never know who will bump a bird or when the big boys will be love struck and looking.

The best turkey hunters I know are in the woods as the sun goes down and know which trees the gobblers are roosting in overnight. Then they get there early in the morning for flydown.
Since I live an hour from my lease, my problem with very early morning hunting is that I don't put the turkeys to bed at night so I'm not quite sure where they are roosting. If I get there too early, I get busted coming in. So I wait until a little later in the early morning, when I can see and kinda get a feel of where they are.
I've killed turkeys at all times of day, but usually see more in the morning times. However, that mid-day gobbler is not rarity, and happens enough that I spend the whole day out there.
