The hoarder in me cringes at the thought of just throwing them away... but this season it seems like 2 of my 6 cams have flaked to the point of getting pulled out of use.

Is there a market for these things for parts? eBay? CL?

Throw them out/Recycle. Learn from them and don't buy again.

That would mean not buying any camera ever. All cameras die, of every brand. The question is, how long did they last before they died?

The Wildgame is a 5MP $69.99 special with a 2007 build date - my first camera, actually. One of the others is an older Bushnell I bought used off CL 3 years ago.

Send them to me ..I will use some capacitors >.PIR's and other things.I have a couple myself the flash is out of both..cams still work just need a flash bulb.

Not much on them that you can use for homebrew use though.

Can be used as decoy cams if you have any issues with theft.

MAN this is a good idea! I could really use a couple to help a friend catch a thief! He got a few items last year stolen!

The case itself wouldn't be useable?

Yes, put it/them on eBay. I have sold two junk cameras that way. I fully disclose the fact they are inoperable and I tell them what is wrong if I know. I have sold every camera I have ever listed. It is better than throwing it away or piling up in your closet. Now, I buy Bushnell Trophy Cams and don't have this problem.

I just start mine out at 99 cents and let the market drive the price. That's just the way I do it though - kind of gets people competing a little bit too.
