Six years ago i dropped from 70 to 60 lbs.Actually shooting an Elite Pulse at 55lbs now.Back and shoulder pain due to arthritus,i guess, cause moderate pain when shooting.Thinking about going back to a single cam 50lber.Maybe a Diamond or Bear.Should i go on and make the switch to a Xbow or go to a 50lber?Anyone out there hunt with a 50lb bow?

I killed a doe this year at 37 yards shooting 52 ish lbs on a target bow . I have a 26" draw so my speed and K/E are really low , speed around 230 . As long as you use a fixed blade broadhead and the right arrow you will be fine .

Get a draw-loc and go back to a 70lbs'er if you want to.....after shooting that thing there is no reason in the world for anyone to shoot a crossbow.

Only thing I warn against this though is compound bow limbs aren't designed to be at full draw for long periods of time like crossbows. I know using this product on a Mathews bow will void your warranty.

While it may the void the warranty, I say who cares? What is a new set of limbs$120-$150? Considering that crossbow and compound limbs are made of the very same thing and very much in the same way, I don't see how it could do any damage. Since, my elbow injury and discovering this thing several months ago, I have done research and talked to several people that have used them for multiple years and of those I have talked to no one has had a problem. If you do have a problem, after 3-4 years, and have to spend $120 on limbs, I'll take that has a good investment considering that a compound has many shooting advantages over a crossbow.

Meant no disrespect towards you or the product. Just giving the op something to consider and info incase he went that route. :)
