What TSS load are you shooting?

3.5 # 9 through Remington 870 12 ga. 21" barrel with Indian creek .655 choke... at 50 yds over 400 pellets in 10"

BIG 20 XL (20G) until I run out of components, then may go to a more simplified load (fewer components) when I have time to do more testing and ensuring zero will not change. If zero were to change, I'd want ample time to correct it before I go hunting with new load.

THIS is something I'd bet many new-comers to turkey guns/loads might be missing:

Similar to shooting different types/bullets in your rifle,
different loads in your shotgun can produce a different point of impact.
Your pattern may be centered to point of aim with one load, be off a foot with another.

Opinions vary, but imo, optical sights are a "must have" on a tightly choked turkey gun.

Everything is a trade-off,
including new turkey shells that may require extensive pattern testing before it's wise to take them hunting.

Big 20 XL can't imagine a better load.

I bought all the components for this load last year right after season and plan to put some together soon for my son and I. I'm kinda looking forward to it. I need to go ahead and do it or turkey season will be here.

12 gauge. 3 1/2 inch. 2 1/2 oz of 8 and 9 tss.
Waaaaay over kill, still trying to convince him the turkeys in Hardin county do not wear kevlar helmets. He'll eventually come around. :tu:

It's just absolutely devastating on turkeys.
.....and big horn sheep if one were to walk by. :)

Dang I need someone to get me some of the Big 20 XL.... Never shot any TSS.

Absolutely over kill but I love it.
That comment was not meant to be distasteful at all, I am pretty sure you knew that. We have texted back and forth along the same lines, just want others that read it to know my tone was in good spirits when I typed that. You have PLENTY of insurance. :tu:

I couldn't help but laugh myself especially on the big horn sheep comment, but I've seen you rib him about the 12 before. Too funny...... :tu:

The big horn sheep reply is funny. Do really think it would kill a big horn sheep? Lol

That's a once in a lifetime tag, therefore you can never have TOO much firepower. :smash:
