Heard 4 birds gobbling on the roost and not much once they hit the ground. Had one come in by himself and hung up about 70 yards out.

Heard 2 birds on the roost��went silent once they hit the ground. They just aint wound up yet.

Took my oldest and my youngest on public land this morning. (Big woods and deep hollows) Had one come to 100 yrds strutting. My daughter got him cranked up with her Turpin yelper but he would not come any closer. Hunted till 10:30 when we had to leave cause she had to go to a birthday party. My daughter did call in a hen to 30 yrds. She was all by herself.

These descriptions are what I was expecting. Took my 9 year old for his first hunt. I told myself that I would be happy if we could just get some to gobble. Well they did. They started at daylight and didn't quit until 10:00. We tried but on the side of mountain its difficult to know at what angle they will come. He didn't fire a shot, but had 3 different gobblers within 60 yards. I hope to have us set up better tomorrow. They were all alone. Two of the gobblers came in together and they didn't gobble at all.
