That angle makes me think of a 45-70 with big heavy bullets that will give lots of penetration because I would HATE to have to pass on that buck!

I once shot a 2 1/2 year-old 8-point walking straight away from me using Thor's Hammers (double-barreled 58 caliber MZ). Using a 620 grn conical in front of 120 grns of FFg black powder, the bullet went in at the butt, went end to end, and was actually stuck in the front tip of the buck's lower jaw (the buck was walking with neck outstretched, following a doe). How many feet of penetration is that?
