turkeys(gobbling)you've ever heard in one morning, that you know were different birds? I hunted this spot once in Maury county and I would bet there were at least 15(sounded like 50) in one spot. It was like a chain reaction when they would gobble,I'll never forget that morning.

Last years juvi hunt, in Dickson county, I took a boy and we setup on a big field little did we know 19 struters and about 50 hens flew down into the field! Never forget that hunt

2 mornings come to mind. First would be my first morning ever in KY, where I bet there were 35-40 birds gobbling within ear shot of us at sunrise.

The other was at Chuck Swan a few years ago, it still blows my mind to think about how many birds gobbled that morning and the duration of the gobbling. I killed one in about 15 minutes, but sat around just listening to the spectacle. Had to be close to 50 birds within ear shot.

about 3 years ago i was on the caney at daybreak trying to catch a rockfish towards the end of the season. i had tagged out so i went fishing. don't know how many but it sounded like 15-20 gobbling on the end of one point over the river. soon as they all pitched off the roost they shut up though. it was awesome to hear that many together.

Not gobbling, but my non-hunting, brother-in-law saw a flood of turkeys in Houston County. They came out of a wooded hillside onto a field.
He stopped counting at 150 To this day he is still amazed.

I think mine would be 5... I hunt the mountains... Ugghhh... starting to sweat just thinking about climbing these ridges again. gotta get a 4 wheeler. .. lol

Sitting up on the mountain one morning at Bear Creek was the most Ive ever heard. I dont know how many but several. Like 8-10 id guess. Me and a buddy belly crawled out into the middle of a field one day trying to get on a bird that was strutting next to the woodline. When we got to where we could see him, there was not one but four. While we were watching 3 more came strutting down out of the opposite woodline towards the other four. Wouldnt you know there were seven birds and we couldnt kill nary a one of em.
