I have killed several birds in the morning time but have never had much luck in the evening. Do you guys walk and call or sit down and just call?

If I hunt afternoon I sit and call every now and then. But I don't hunt afternoons much just because I don't want to pressure the birds to much.

Hunt just about everything

I don't do afternoons until May, woods are too open and birds are with hens usually all day making it brutal.

When I do I usually get near areas I know birds are using and get a comfy place to sit. I wait for one to sound off, and generally if there's a player hell do so on his own. Using that Intel i get close before making the first call.

I dont see how afternoon hunts mess up the birds any more than morning. I know I've bumped a lot of birds walking around during midmorning trying to strike up a gobbler. In the afternoon it's the same tactic as midmorning for me. Go to a good spot, set down on high ground, make some calls, if nothing fires up then wait at least 20 mins or so before moving to a new spot. Anything that gobbles I try to find him and set up close.
