What's your favorite Cam setup location?

I have one cam on a salt lick and one that I move around all over the place. The salt lick gets the most and best pics. It's in the middle of a huge CRP thicket.

I've got one that's been on the same tree for the second year now overlooking a traditional rub/scrape area with a big signpost rub in the middle of it. It's situated in a funnel with water on two sides between a bedding and feeding area. This has been by far my best location. I have another that I move around all over the place, usually in heavy travel routes to see what time the deer use it.

Bryan, I had a button buck come to my mineral site just this past Wed. He stayed there for about 30 min licking that stump!

For whatever reason, some areas see fairly consistent salt usage all year, while in other areas, all salt use stops post-October and does not begin again until March.

Right now, looking over a scrape on the edge of a food plot. Gives me scrape usage photos and food plot inventory at the same time.

That makes for an EXCELLENT dual-purpose cam set-up. I use a lot of those.

If you remember, last year I had a button come to another mineral site and hang out a long time then too. I also see does wander in to them also during the entire season, off and on.

I have mine set up on a well used trail where it breaks off in 3 different directions...this is also where I have my stand located. We've gotten 3 this year so far from there. We've let it be for 2 weeks now, and going back in the morning.

As for focusing in buck pics I usually do a yearly schedule of
Summer to season opener-mineral sites, then until scrapes show up I put them on trails, then of course scrapes until post season (we have heavy scraping activity til February). After season I see no ptoblem with throwing out some corn too

I have three cams out now. One over a mock scrape, one over a real scrape, and one over a strange scrape like area on the ground with a twist off rub on the side of it. Its not a scrape and it was there last year.. I know its deer but watch me not get a single pic lol.
