When do they group into winter flocks

I have been wondering now since the fall season was moved back 2 months. I never paid attention or looked into it, but when do you all start seeing the bigger flocks in the fall? I am hoping they will be in good numbers in mid-october so I can pick them out more easily and set up ahead of them for an ambush.

Yeah they are already flocked together. But the big groups will get together when the food gets scarce in winter.

Hmm that's interesting... saw a lone hen a few days ago in the neighbors yard, but if they are flocking this early, then I can't wait for October 15 to bust some flocks...

Well they are flocked ,by Sex and age structure right now ...in other words the babys are still with their hens ..and 3 maybe 4 hens may all have their clutches together.

That's interesting information. I have no clue when and what they do in Florida!
