I am really tired of my turkey vest
over the years I have had a ton of different brands
so now I am in the market for something a lot different
like a fanny pack, man purse or just a simple light weight vest that wont break the bank
Heck I would even like to have a shirt that would offer more to carry than the One on the market OL' TOM brand
how about some suggestions

I'm ready for something else also but turkey vests are really expensive. I have a 15 year old fieldline vest from walmart that is wore out! Holes in it everywhere and I have tried sewing the straps that hold the clips for the seat 4 times and only one side still holding on for now.

I'm goin to end up buying the Tom Teaser's "Quick Sack" or one similar like the broisie bag I think its called

Yep
My birthday is in June and I think I will get the wife to get me a Brossie

I have hunted turkey for four years and have had a different vest each year. I am starting my research now for the next one. I'm a big guy and one size does not fit all.

I got to have a good cushion. Otherwise, I'd just carry the Quick Sack style shoulder bag.

I use an old version of the Tactical Tat'r without the bag on back.

"So he cocked both his pistols, spit in the dirt, and walked out in to the street."

No vest here, fanny pack or bag. I do use a bag or fanny pack for deer hunting. But for turkey I have cargo pockets on my pants and that is it. I carry the gun in my right hand and tripod in my left for video. One call around my neck and a couple more calls in my pockets. Also TP, clif bar, USB power pack, etc.

I'm a husky size myself and bought the cabelas tat r 1 vest and I wouldn't trade it for any other vest. Even is adjustable enough to grow into. And to have one to keep everything so organized and room for everything is nice.

Good to know. Thanks. I will check it out.

Just ordered a Brossie
I will let ya'll know how it works out
Hope you get it before season ends.
Don't think they have a good reputation for fast shipping.

my season is done
I don't hunt TN and just got back from MO

I made the switch from a turkey vest last year, and think it may be a permanent switch. Here is the pack I am using:

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/ ... k?a=829199

It is cheap, and has everything I need in a pack. The straps and quick buckles on the top of the pack make it easy to strap down a coat or raincoat when I am doing a long walk in. With two different sections in the pack, it is easy to organize my calls.

I use one of the gobbler lounger deals for my seat. The addition of the claw sling last year made that a very easy carry. For me, the pack and gobbler chair are no more heavy than my vest, and are much cooler in hot weather.
