Where are the hens?

I recently posted about seeing a flock of Toms at the Jack Daniel's distillery.
Today, while deer hunting, a flock of 13 Toms crossed in front of me. No hens.
Do hens stay segregated in the Fall?

For the most part, yes.

yeah I didn't see any beards during fall turkey season but had a nice flock of hens come up on me. there were toms there too, I just didn't see them but my buddy did

Saw same/anothger flock of 10 Toms yesterday.
These were some sorry looking birds! It had been snowing and once it stopped they stood out in the middle of the field trying to dry off. Preening and spreading their fans.
Looked liked a bunch of soaked, cold animals out there.
