Some people complain about out of staters being on collage teams. Some people call them out of staters and others call them mercenaries but to me all of them have the right to go to the school of THEIR CHOICE. There are a total of 43 out of staters between the 4 teams, all the rest of the team members came from the state the school is in.

Well we can see where each player of all Final Four teams are from.

Kentucky has 16 out of state players
Duke has 10
Michigan St has 11
Wisconsin has 10

So as everybody can see UK has just 5 more than the second. There is not all that much difference between them as some try to make it out to be.

By the way. It's not listed in here but I found a team who lost recently that has 19 players from out of state.

5 more might not sound like much but in basketball that's an entire starting line up lol.

Kentucky had 9 McDonald's all Americans they would be nothing with out I think they have ten 5* players I could be wrong but I don't think any of them are from Kentucky.

I don't like Kentucky basketball but can't blame them lol there is not a program or coach that would turn down them 9 or 10 players no matter were there from.

Like football recruiting is a huge part of success when it comes to college sports. And Kentucky is the best at it when it comes to basketball.

By the way only 1 NBA team has more McDonald's all Americans then Kentucky lol

Apparently I've been under a rock because I've never once heard anybody complain that team "fill in the blank" has too many kids from out of state.
I was thinking the same thing hey if 9 McDonald's all Americans wanna come play for UT from any were I'm all for it :tu:

Like I said I don't see fans a program or coach turning away players that are good enough to belong no matter were there from.

Hmm, when they can only have 13 scholarship players on the team, 16 is a pretty big deal :D !

Ever heard of walk ons??

Think about that a minute. UK can draw people from out of state just to be a walk on and play some minutes, Few other schools can pull people in like that.

Every team has walkons, but they are usually kids from nearby.

No one here cares where they are from, but your post to try to validate why KY has none from it's own state is a head scratcher :D !

Thanks, you just PROVED you didn't ever bother to read the article. If you had you would see that some ARE from Kentucky that are on the team.
