Where's Preston Williams going to transfer to?

Somewhere where he won't have to compete for playing time.

While he's sitting out (although he'll probably transfer down), he might want to work on actually "catching" passes if he wants to make it as a receiver.
 
Where ever he goes, I hope he toughens up and learns how to hang on to the ball. Best of luck to him.

Caught 9 passes at UT.......

guy has been out played by a dude who use to play QB, and a true freshmen this year.

it was clear Malone, Jennings, and the true freshmen tyler bryd where ahead of him on the depth chart.

Bryd 9 catches in 5 games as many as Williams had in a year and a half.

Still got Callaway also. Wish him the best

Auburn is second chance "U".... :) I'm also not ruling out FSU.

Hotel room, caught smoking weed, and sent home. Nope, but UT also knew that and still signed him. Why wouldn't AU not give him a second chance?
 
Never heard that story. He was sent home early on his official visit to Auburn for wearing Tennessee gear and trying to get the other recruits on their official visits to come to Tennessee.
 
I have numerous links to him being sent home for wearing Tennessee apparel and trying to recruit the others there on visits. Do you have a link to him smoking weed on that visit?

Bottom line is this. Preston wasnt willing to put in the work to earn his spot on the field. Juaun Jennings, who was receuited as a QB, realized that in order for him to play here, had to make a move. He volunteered to move to WR and has worked his butt off to get his playing time. And hes making the most of it. Im sure Preston assumed with his star rating, it would just be handed to him. It would appear that he found out wrong.


He started against App St and made five catches. After that he has been non existent. Who was in against A&M in the 4th qtr making plays? Freshman Brandon Johnson. That should tell you all you need to know about Preston Williams. I have seen it said that he is looking at schools on the west coast because he also wants to pursue a modeling career. The guys head isnt completely in the game. There is no need for that at TN. Thats why the coaches didnt fight to keep him here.

May be true then. I had never heard that but I don't really follow recruiting. I only knew about him wearing Tennessee apparel and trying to get the other recruits to come to Tennessee because it was a pretty big story. Either way I don't think he lands at Auburn. Maybe alabammer. Little Nicky says he believes in second chances and if the kid can get a stolen gun or two to ride around in his car along with the weed he'll fit right in at Tuscaloser.
 
There will be a few more that leave also. Drew Richmond will probably be next. Hes been upset since being redshirted and losing his starting position this year has made that worse.
 
Kids like this come and go. They were typically high school stars that never hard to work too hard, then when it comes time to compete, they get lost in the mix. Talent only takes you so far then attitude kicks in.

Justin Martin will be the next one leaving, Richmond may be right behind him.
