Went to Legends and Sportsman Warehouse today just knocking around. I have always wanted a 375 H&H. I have always wanted this in a Ruger Magnum Rifle but I have absolutely no use for it. For $1600 my wife would have no use for me if I bought it. Well for $819 I do have a use for a new Ruger Hawkeye African in the 375 Ruger. No, I didn't get one (nobody had one) but dang do I want one awful bad. I bet it sure would lay the smack down on a deer :eek: From everything I have read it is getting rave reviews. Man I like those big bores :cool:
 
I'd like to have one also. I am hoping to find one somewhere second hand where someone got one and then realized they did not need it and I could pick it for around $650 or so. I am just not that lucky!

I would also like to have a CZ in 9.3x62, and 416 Rem or Rigby. I just can't seem to part with the money.
 
I heard the new Rugers are supposed to have a new trigger, that would be great. I have always liked the Mauser action, but I stayed away from Rugers because of the sorry triggers. The 375 H&H would be a powerhouse!
 
Looked at one a few weeks ago at Legends they had 'em 3006 Hawkeye Model. Nice rifle a good bit better IMO than the Mark 2,Trigger and Stock much nicer. BPS had some of both the new models the other night didn't pay much attention to what cal they had.

No I didn't Tiny. We got there as they were opening the doors. You must have seen the one they sold almost as fast as they got it. The guy behind the counter said they have only had a couple and one was special ordered for a guy who went to Africa. They did have the shells for it though. They aren't any more expensive than the 300WSM. I'm thinking this might be a perfect present for my birthday :D Gotta start leaving notes around the house now...the wife just might have it figured out by Feb.
