due to aging shoulders and just getting older in general ive hung up my compound, which crossbow do you guys recommend for 500 or less, there is so many!

I have a Excalibur matrix 355 love it. Its a recurve simple fast and accurate as all get out. Staying close to your price range and a real quality xbow take a look at the Excalibur Grizzly. I also like wicked ridge and ten point brands for compounds.

Wyvern creations Grizzly package price (I will add a great place to do business with and no sales tax free shipping prices and customer service hard to beat at Wyvern. Also lots of other xbows brands to look at on this site):

Someone in the for sale section had a grizzly for sale a while ago-- do a search I don't know if it sold or if it is still for sale. But it was a good deal.

X 2 on Excalibur. I have an older Phoenix 175 lb. had it since 2004. Replaced the string once and that's it . It's been shot a lot and beat up. I let friends kids use it now. Nothing to go wrong. No cams etc.

+1 on Excalibur. I have an Equinox. When I bought it they told me not to shoot at the same target. Took me 3 arrows to figure out why. Extremely accurate. Only thing I don't like is they are hard to recock in the the tree stand if you have a shooting bar attached and dragging it through the woods.
